Making of our shelters/structures

Here are some explanations about our sculptures and shelters:

My structure is a bridge. I made it because Papatoetoe kids go in the Living classroom and see the eels. It will be in the living classroom. The people that will use my structure are the whole school that wants to see the eels. I made this using egg box PVA glue and a little bit of hot glue gun on the sides but the real on is going to be made out of wood.

My structure is a medium sized shelter for the living classroom so the kids don’t get soggy and sick. It solves a problem because when its raining the kids can stay dry for the rest of the day. My simple prototype is made out of ice block sticks and blocks of foam and a circle base mode out of cardboard. This shelter is for the kids of Papatoetoe East Primary School which I will build at the back of The Living classroom where there is heaps of space.

My structure is big because lots of people can fit in it. It will have toilets and kitchen and seats. This structure will be used for the Pacific island countries like Fiji, Samoa when there is a storm or flood.

My structure is a temporary shelter. I made this because in Fiji they have a lot of thunderstorms and floods. So we should expect to have temporary shelters for people that lose their homes. The problem will be solved by making these temporary shelters. These shelters will need to be big and have a kitchen and bathroom and toilets. I made this out of cardboard boxes and Popsicle sticks the real one will be made out of wood.

My structure is a bird House
I made it because we can hardly see any type of spectacular, amazing and beautiful bids in our living classroom. In my bird house I have a bird bath, a little place where the bids can go and perch, have some food, and drink water. I want my bird house to be on the tree by the lake so lots of birds can come. I made my model bird house out of a bid cardboard box but the real one will be made of wood.
By Emilia

My structure is a shelter for the living classroom but its just a model made out of box. So if make a real one the kids and teacher will stay dry in the shelters if we want to use it on a wet day. So the real one will not be made out of soft materials because it will get damages and I will have to make it with wood, grass, nails and ropes.
